Protect Ningaloo’s #BeautifulNingaloo
We developed the #BeautifulNingaloo communications campaign with Perth-based creative agency Wunderman Thompson to celebrate what we love about the Ningaloo-Exmouth Gulf area and to contrast it symbolically – using iconic tourism promotional motifs – with the proposed pipeline fabrication facility and towing operation in Exmouth Gulf. We launched it in August 2020.
The campaign ran radio ads across the state over several weeks, delivered postcards to 200,000 Perth homes and published our illustrations in full-page advertisements in The West Australian newspaper, several metro community and regional newspapers, and on the WAToday homepage.
We also commissioned a giant mobile ‘postcard’ and organised community actions around that in Perth city. We amplified the campaign on social media. We produced further content for the campaign which we can launch in the future.
